WHAT IS AEDIMEMORA?

Aedimemora is a coined name. “Aedi” draws from Latin aedes, associated with dwelling and building; “memora” draws from memoria, memory and remembrance. The name suggests built place as a carrier of memory.

Fattah Ahmed Chowdhury is a built-environment researcher working across spatial evidence, climate resilience, architecture, and decision systems. His research examines how data-scarce and climate-vulnerable communities can make more defensible infrastructure decisions by integrating spatial evidence, public-health priorities, community knowledge, and uncertainty-aware research methods. He is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of AEDIMEMORA.
